This past weekend it went down in Sin City, Las Vegas. Some of thee hottest 100 billboard charting artists came to play. The Day N Vegas festival had a whole slew of various artist from hip hop, R&B, new wave pop, to the backpack, there was something for everyone’s taste. The festival was held for three days of sun, fun, laugher, connection, and a whole lot of head bopping. People from every part of the country jam pack the Las Vegas festival grounds.
Three days, three stages and over 115 artists. Compton’s own Kendrick Lamar kicks the party off and Taylor, The Creator shut it down. It has been two years since the world last seen Kendrick grace a stage. Across the field vocalist Jazmine Sullivan, Lucky Daye, Young MA, Thundercat, UMI and so many more had Friday in full swing from sun up to the midnight stars.
For the next two days, the festival was hotter than the Las Vegas strip itself. New comers like Latto, Doja Cat, Jenevieve, Bia, Queen Naija, Raveena, Maria Isabel, 24kgoldn and Duckwrth, many more made Day N Vegas 2021 a memorial one. One of the festivals headliners, Travis Scott absent was noticeable and very understandably, but his replacement Post Malone made sure fans money was well worth spent.
Yes, AstroWorld was on the mind of every artist because of the tragic that just took place the week before. A fan tweeted that Sza would not start until attendees in the front take steps back to give people room to breathe and the message was also displayed on the stage screen. Some artists encourage fans during their sets to keep an eye on their concert peers and if they “see something to “say something.” With over 60k fans the festival was not completely without incident, but help was right on hand to immediately assist.
Day N Vegas 2021 left a memorial expression, cannot wait to see what they have in store for 2022!
